Your eternal soul

We like to have control over everything in our lives, and we like to know when things are going to happen. But what’s one thing we can never control?  The day we day.  One day, and there is nothing we can do to prevent this, your life is going to come to an end, or the Lord is going to return.

So are you going to get into heaven?  Are you a good person?  Well, lets find out:

You shall have no other god’s before me…

Have you ever put anything before your creator?  We cannot serve God and anything else at the same time.  God must be our number one and our everything.

You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain…

Have you ever used the name of the Lord as a swear word?  Ever said “oh my God” or “Jesus Christ” when something hasn’t gone to plan?  Ever blamed God for anything? 

You shall not steal…

Have you ever stolen anything, no matter how small?  Ever illegally downloaded music or films?

You shall not commit adultery…

Jesus said:

But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Matthew 5:28

These are just some of the commandments of God that we are required to keep.  Did you know that if we fall on even one point, we are guilty of all?

How did you do?

For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 

James 2:10 

Yet Jesus said:

 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:17

 Do you think that is amazing?  That God so loved you and me that even though we deserve Hell He did not come to condemn us!  Instead He came that we could be saved! 

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life 

John 3:16 

What must I do to be saved?

Repent of your sin and believe wholly on the Lord Jesus Christ.  Throw yourself on Him, and He shall save you for all eternality! By turning back to God you can be made right with Him and become one of His children!

 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”

 Acts 17:28-31
