What is it all about?

By Daniel Norman on 14/11/2011

What’s all this about then?  Why this website and the meetings.  Why the time spent researching and compiling resources?  Why the time spent in prayer before our glorious and merciful God?  Why the time spent seeking His still small voice to guide us?

“…who desires all men to be saved and to come into the knowledge of the truth.”

1 Timothy 2:4

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him might be saved.”

John 3:16

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Matthew 28:18-20

The reason?  We want more people to come into the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.  The Lord Jesus Christ commanded us to go out and “make disciples of all the nations”.  The early church obeyed this, and we want to obey it today.  The Lord desires that all repent and turn to Him, and He offers His salvation to all.

In this world there are many lies, and the world is determined to rebel against God and reject Him.  People are being taught that there is no God, and that we are all here by accident, that this is all there is and that we do not need to obey God.  The world needs God, but has turned its back on Him, yet He still loves the world, and He offers salvation to all.  There is so much pain and suffering in the world, so many tears, and so much death.  The only solution is the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Maybe you would like to start a bible study, or simply be able to share with your friends and family the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.  We want to help you here at CYO, and would love to send you resources, leaflets etc.  We are also hoping to provide some free, downloadable resources for you to use.  If you are interested in receiving information and maybe some leaflets etc. then please contact us.  And remember – what ever you do, always begin by going to the Lord in prayer!
