Though there's pain in the offering…Blessed be Your name!

When something good happens we often praise God, and rightly so…but what about when something bad happens? What about when it’s seems like the whole world is against you, and you just feel like giving up? Even then you should praise Him! Remember Job, who lost everything – he even said “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.” Job 3:15.
This may seem hard to do, but we must remember that what we see is temporary. The things in this world are only for a while, we must endure only till He comes or calls us home. If we trust in Jesus He will not fail us. We must live by faith and not by sight!
One song we often sing at church is Put on the garments of praise for the spirit of heaviness, which is based on Psalm 61:3. When our spirit is heavy and we are feeling down? Put on the garment of praise and get singing!
Put on the garment of praise
For the spirit of heaviness
Lift up your voice to God
Praise with the Spirit
And with understanding
Oh magnify the Lord!
