Hungry?

By Daniel Norman on 19/09/2011

So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD.

Deuteronomy 8:3

How hungry are you for God right now? Did you know that the food you eat and drink is not enough to keep you healthy? Food and drink may strengthen our worldly bodies, but it is God that strengthens us spiritually. How much do you desire God? Is praying and reading the Bible something you do each day because you feel you should? Is it a chore, something that you don’t always look forward to? When we least feel like praying and seeking God, that is when we need to do it most!

Don’t settle for a boring, empty spiritual life. Seek that personal experience with God, seek to be filled with His Spirit, seek and pray to hear that still, small voice. Seek out God, seek Him like you cannot breathe and He is air! Settle for nothing but God! “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you” Matthew 7:7. Seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit, ask Him to give you a burning inside your heart for Him, for only He will do!
